Below is a short video tour of the basic features of Machines+People.

The main points of the video are:

  1. Format a USB drive in DOS FAT format.
  2. Add the software in the layout shown.
  3. Connect to a database. You will have separate database files for each of your clients.
  4. Most of the time you will be working on a machines where people and software come together.
  5. Building a new machine is a simple drag and drop operation to add people and software.

Security Concerns

Security Concerns - Machines & People

Maintaining your client's data securely is of prime concern. It should be a consideration in almost every decision that is made with regard to the use of Machines & People. Here are some of the points to consider:

  • The application and data reside on a thumb drive. Keep it in your physical possession.
  • There is no internet or network transmission of data to be intercepted.
  • The database file is encrypted using AES-128 encryption.
  • Individual database files should be stored on a secure computer, server, or file sharing service.
  • Getting access to these database files should be carefully considered and secure.
